‘I love good healthy food’ and so does my family. We however have our trials and tribulations when it comes to eating. So many people now have intolerances, we have not escaped. My daughter is intolerant to wheat, soy and corn, I need to stay away from salt to help with my dizzy head (caused by Meniere’s). My poor husband has had to deal with the changes to our diet and reading labels (with his glasses on).
Food makes the world go round, wow does it ever. On these pages I am adding recipes that will hopefully inspire you get cooking again and love the natural flavours of food without the additives and preservatives that go into so many packaged items. Fish, beans and rice are staples and my aim is to encourage you to go beyond your staples and explore your taste bud.
What I have done with this website is put together my collection of recipes, some are original, some adapted or inspired from what is out there and others are a tolerable version adapted for our needs and stomachs for example a ‘no soy’ soy sauce that is reduced sodium also. Some instances to achieve this I have used non authentic ingredients.
I will also be adding interesting articles about food, travel (which inevitably includes food) and ingredients.
From time to time I will include nutritional content as part of the post.
